They get off the bus and start walking down the street.
Cars pass by, and people move quickly around them.
Sarah takes her phone out of her bag and looks at the screen.
John notices and glances at her.
“Do you use your phone a lot during the day?” he asks.
Sarah unlocks her phone and reads a message.
“Yes, I do,” she says. “I usually check my messages and reply to my friends.”
She types quickly for a few seconds, then looks up again.
John smiles. “I use my phone a lot too, especially for work,” he says.
“What do you usually do on your phone?” Sarah asks, putting it back in her hand.
John thinks for a moment, then answers more casually.
“I send messages, check emails, and sometimes watch videos,” he explains.
Sarah nods, walking beside him.
“I also use my phone to listen to music when I’m walking,” she says.
They stop for a moment at the corner, waiting to cross the street.
John looks at her. “Do you make a lot of calls?” he asks.
Sarah shakes her head slightly.
“Not really,” she says. “I prefer sending messages. It’s faster.”
The light changes, and they start walking again.
John laughs softly. “Yes, I agree. I don’t like talking on the phone very much.”
Sarah smiles. “Me neither,” she says.
They continue walking, talking naturally as the city moves around them.
