A stone bridge connects both sides of the city.
John stops walking.
“Wow,” he says quietly.
“This place is beautiful.”
Sarah smiles.
“I was waiting for that reaction.”
Daniel laughs.
“Tourists always stop here first.”
A violin player performs near the fountain.
Children run around chasing pigeons.
An old couple sits on a bench, sharing ice cream.
Everything feels alive and calm at the same time.
John takes his phone from his pocket.
“I need pictures of this.”
He walks closer to the bridge.
“Can you take one of me here?” he asks Sarah.
She raises an eyebrow.
“Only one?”
John laughs.
“Maybe five.”
Sarah takes several photos while he changes poses dramatically.
Daniel cannot stop laughing.
“You look like a movie star,” he says.
Then Sarah gives her phone to Daniel.
“Now take one of us together.”
John stands beside her.
The river shines behind them.
The wind moves Sarah’s hair.
Daniel takes the picture.
Then he checks the screen.
“This one is perfect,” he says.
For a moment, nobody speaks.
