The next morning, John wakes up early.
Sunlight enters through the hotel window.
He opens the curtain and looks outside.
The city is already busy.
Cars move through the streets, and people walk quickly on the sidewalks.
Sarah is getting ready near the mirror.
“Good morning,” John says.
“Ready for our first day?”
Sarah smiles.
“Almost.”
A few minutes later, they go downstairs.
The receptionist is organizing some papers at the desk.
John walks over politely.
“Excuse me,” he says.
“Can I ask a few questions?”
“Of course,” she replies.
John takes the city map from his pocket.
“What places do you recommend near here?”
She points at the map.
“There is a museum two blocks away.”
“There is also a beautiful park behind the museum.”
Sarah looks interested.
“That sounds nice.”
John nods.
“And is there a good coffee shop nearby?”
The receptionist smiles.
“Yes. Turn left outside the hotel.”
“It is on the corner, next to a bookstore.”
John looks at Sarah.
“I think I know where we’re going first.”
She laughs.
“One more question,” John says.
“What time does the museum open?”
“At ten o’clock,” she answers.
“And it closes at six.”
John folds the map carefully.
“Perfect. Thank you for your help.”
“You’re welcome,” she says.
Outside the hotel, the air feels fresh and cool.
The day is just beginning.
