Aula 47: At the Airport – Inglês Básico com Texto, Áudio e Vídeo

📖 TEXTO

John and Sarah arrive at the airport early in the morning.

The building is large and busy.

People are walking in every direction.

Some are carrying bags, and others are checking their phones.

John looks around with interest.

“This place is bigger than I expected,” he says.

Sarah smiles.

“Yes, airports are usually busy,” she replies.

They walk toward the check-in area.

Large screens show flights, times, and gates.

John stops for a moment and reads the board carefully.

“There are so many flights,” he says.

Sarah nods.

“Yes, but yours is on time,” she says.

“That’s good news.”

John looks relieved.

“I was worried about delays,” he says.

They move forward in line.

A family stands in front of them, and two business travelers are behind them.

Everything feels organized, but fast.

When it is finally John’s turn, he steps to the counter.

The woman at the desk smiles politely.

“Passport, please.”

John gives her his passport and ticket.

She checks the computer for a few seconds.

Then she prints his boarding pass.

“You’re all set,” she says.

“Gate 14. Boarding starts at nine fifteen.”

John thanks her and steps aside.

“That was easier than I thought,” he says.

Sarah laughs softly.

“I told you,” she says.

“This is only the beginning.”

John looks around again.

Now the trip feels real.
