John wakes up early in the morning. He feels calm and ready for the day.
He gets out of bed, makes his bed, and opens the window. The air is fresh.
He looks around his room.
“My bed is big. My backpack is next to the table,” he says.
Then he goes to the kitchen.
Sarah is there.
“Good morning, John,” she says.
“Good morning,” John answers.
Sarah smiles.
“Do you like juice?” she asks.
“Yes, I do,” John says.
“I like juice, but I don’t like milk.”
Sarah laughs.
“I like both,” she says.
They sit at the table and eat.
“There is bread and fruit,” Sarah says.
John looks at the table.
“I like apples,” he says.
After eating, John takes his backpack.
“Where is my phone?” he asks.
“It is on the table,” Sarah says.
John smiles.
“Thank you.”
He walks outside and looks at the city.
People are walking, and the streets are busy.
John feels good.
Now he understands more English and can talk about his day, his things, and what he likes.
