John and Sarah leave the room and go to the kitchen. It is time to eat something.
Sarah opens the fridge and looks inside.
“There is juice, bread, and fruit,” she says.
John looks at the table.
“I like bread,” he says.
Sarah smiles. “Me too.”
She takes an apple and gives it to John.
“Do you like apples?” she asks.
John looks at the apple.
“Yes, I do,” he says.
They sit at the table and start eating.
John drinks juice and eats the apple.
“This is good,” he says.
Sarah laughs. “Food is always good when you are hungry.”
John smiles. Now he can talk about food in English.
