“Hello.”
“Hi,” John says, placing the jacket on the counter.
“I’d like to buy this.”
The cashier scans the item.
“That will be thirty euros,” she says.
John nods.
“Can I pay by card?”
“Of course.”
She points to the card machine.
“Please insert your card.”
John follows the instructions.
“Do I need a PIN?” he asks.
“Yes,” she says.
John types the numbers carefully.
A second later, the machine beeps.
“Payment approved.”
The cashier smiles.
“Would you like a bag?”
“Yes, please.”
She puts the jacket in a bag and hands it to him.
“And the receipt?”
“Yes, please.”
She gives him the receipt.
“Thank you,” John says.
“You’re welcome.”
John steps away from the counter.
“That was easy,” he says.
Sarah laughs.
“You’re getting better.”
