John and Sarah walk onto the plane together.
John looks around with curiosity.
The cabin is bright and quiet.
Passengers are putting bags in the overhead bins.
A flight attendant smiles and welcomes everyone.
“This is my first time on a plane,” John says softly.
Sarah looks at him and smiles.
“You’re going to enjoy it,” she says.
They find their seats near the window.
John sits down and looks outside.
He can see the runway and other airplanes nearby.
Everything feels exciting.
A few minutes later, the captain speaks through the speaker.
“Welcome aboard. We will depart shortly.”
John listens carefully.
“What did he say?” he asks.
Sarah laughs quietly.
“He said we are leaving soon.”
John nods.
“That sounds important,” he says.
The plane begins to move slowly.
John looks out the window again.
The airport buildings start passing by.
Then the plane stops for a moment.
Soon after, it begins moving faster.
John holds the armrest and smiles nervously.
Sarah notices.
“Relax,” she says.
“You’re fine.”
A few seconds later, the plane rises into the air.
John looks amazed.
“We’re flying,” he says.
Clouds begin to appear outside the window.
Now the world below looks small.
John cannot stop smiling.
